    That's what it is alright. Some I see are as big as a very small bird.

    Thanks guys!

    The width of him was one of the reasons I wasn't sure. I'm used to dragonflies with skinny tails, this guy was big and thick.

    That back end does look fat for a dragonfly.
    Fossils have been found with 30 inch wingspans and 18 inches long.
