    Beautiful shots !!

    Are these shots over many sessions or you had a really productive day ?

    How do you know they are female ? using Loupey's terminology I do not see any "sensual shapes" on them - colors I guess ?

    Multiple sessions, and over three different locations. The dragonflies have been great this year.

    And yep, color, patterns, and wing spots are often very different between the males and females. The Eastern Pondhawks, for example, the males are blue with a green face, and the females are a bright green.

    In general, the females are a little less colorful than the males.
