    Downside Robin.

    Hi Everyone!

I've attached a shot of a European Robin who lives in the garden at Downside Lower School in Dunstable, UK., which my daughter attends and where I work.
He's a friendly little fellow who follows me around whenever I'm out there and he's even been known to hop onto my finger, though typically, I didn't have a camera that day!
The shot I've posted is the third in a process of evolution to arrive at what I hope is as close to perfect as it can get. Have a look at my gallery and you'll see what I mean.(Special thanks to you Alex, I'm sure you're reading this!)

I'm new to this site and this is my first post, but please visit my gallery and let me know what you think. I believe that there is no such thing as bad criticism; everything you say or suggest will be viewed as being positive and therefore, valuable and useful.

Thank you for finding the time to view this. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Welcome to the forum

That's a nice Robin, you've got there - it's one of my favourite birds but I can never get it to come out into the light Nicely framed, good exposure, lovely colours, great bokeh

Looking forward to seeing more of you here at N&W

Beautiful shot, your robins are very different than ours. Prettier, to my eye.

That is a beautiful Robin, it looks to be much smaller than the robins we have around here.

If you're referring to the leaf being cloned out, I don't know how you did it - nicely done. I wouldn't have had a clue except for the blur patch behind the cheek.

A pretty good bit of cloning.
I can see the mismatch in the feather pattern to the right of the eye, and a slightly darker spot in the red breast feathers. But it's not obvious.

I am not a fan of cloning, so can't do it. I am also not into critiquing images either....

I think you did quite well and apsolutely love those european robins!

Thanks for posting and welcome to N/W forum!
