    Deer n Moose

Lots of them. Let me know what you think, maybe some ideas on how to best correct the tones on the moose shots, the color cast, white balance, and levels are particularly difficult to work with so I'm probably stuck to filters and masked layer adjustments...

Yeah, the colors seem to be off in several different directions. But I'm having issues of my own lately with my laptop monitor

But from what I can tell, the moose images (in the moose themselves), there is too much red, magenta, and blue. The last two of the deer have too much yellow on my LCD.

What are those? Really, I never use layers/masks/filters.... Just use the simple stuff and make it easier on yourself. (fwiw, I probably would use the higher end PP adjustments if I ever read the manual - no time except to shoot )

Some of these already look pretty far processed. At this point, I would start over with the original image and start applying the steps in small increments.

Or if you would like, post the original unprocessed image of the moose and someone can give you a hand.

    What's a Loupe for anyway?

    Re: Deer n Moose

Loupey - the problem is the moose originals are very poorly exposed, one was about 5:30am colorado rocky mornings, the lighting was not in my favor (see 5:30 sun top middle). The colors of the 1st 2nd and 3rd deer are alright to me and print well, the others not so much. The auto white balance failed me majorly in those shots and the compensation I had to do didn't leave me with much wiggle room to adjust color temperature and balance. Also keep in mind the originals are adobergb, the ones I posted are converted to srgb and the colors will not be exactly as they should be.

I would love to post originals but I have to cut them down and compress them so much, how much help could those really be?

Awesome. Moose shots are excellent. Nice scene in the midwest!

If you need to make any adjustments, it's better to use the adjustment layers anyhow.

I think Loupey is right on the color cast.

I'm not going to comment on the color casts, because I'm on my uncalibrated laptop, but I still love the first bull moose. I don't see too many good shots of these.

If you don't, maybe you should start shooting in RAW. This way, you can change the white balance after the shot has been taken.
