    A day in Yellowstonge

Over the weekend, the wife and I ran up to Wyoming and into Yellowstone Park for a few hours. It was a quick trip the and the weather was the pits, but it was still fun.

Here are a few photos I shot that day.

This was the only moose I saw and there were people stopping once I stopped, so I did not want to goof somebody up so just shot a quick couple photos and left.

I saw one griz, but it was long ways off and I did not have my tripod set up or a long lens on the camera so its a very marginal photo.

I spend a lot of time in antelope country every year, but this was a first for me. I watched a doe and this small buck swim a raging rivier, with swift current as they migrated back to their summer range. I got a whole series of photos of this happening. I doubt very few people ever get to witness something like that, so I felt pretty privilged.

Those are just a few of the photos I took. It was cold, rainy, and snowy, all the time we were there.

    Have a good one. BB

Thanks to all of you who viewed and commented on these photos.

Heretofore, all my stuff has been hand held. But I got a new lens, a new tripod, and a new Wiberly head, so now I will be doing a few shot on the tripod and the combination of the pod and lens should render a far better photo.

Here are a few more I took that day.
