    The Crest

lately my B&W conversions have been square crops and I think this one suits both well. Even though it's pretty nice in color, I felt the tonal range was wide enough to pull it off and I spent a good deal of time in LR getting just what I wanted. Contrast without blown highlights, soft clouds, deep blacks and feathery grays. Phew. They don't all go like this.

Taken in Vermont over the weekend at a roadside meadow where we pulled over to stretch our legs. E-30 and the ZD 12-60mm w/polarizer.

Contrast-wise, I think it could go a bit higher. A nice attempt nonetheless.

Looks good. B&W conversions can be tricky (why I don't do that many of them myself).

thanks. You're right, they can be a pain. With this one I tried a different technique and spent a lot of time with various sliders.
