    Couple herp shots from today

Found this little guy under one of my cover boards, it was by far the smallest snake ive ever seen at more 3-4 inches long.... but id guess 2.5 inches.

and then a rather large green frog.

Cool Ringneck! I love it when I find them that small. someday I will take the time to pose one curled up on a nickel. Do yours tail-curl as they do out west? I've had no luck getting good curls from my neck of the woods, but it is a neat defense and makes great photos.

The best shot is by far the bullfrog eye - which is a GREAT shot, the DoF is PERFECT. And, I do think it is R. Catesbiena, look at the lack of dorsolateral folds?

Love the frogs!...I also like the way you have them under the snake.

Your right Erik, it def was a bull frog, and the first ive seen in the forest. it was MUCH bigger than the greens i see all the time, and i didn't even think it was anything different.

thanks Javier, the frog barely fit in my hand, the snake was so small the frog could have swallowed it w/o realising it was in its mouth!
