    Condor Nest At Pinnacles

    No, I didn't get a condor photo

I am just sharing an article I stumbled across and thought you guys would like. It's about the first California condor next in Pinnacles in over 100 years.

I thought the bird guys here would appreciate it. Plus, Pinnacles National monument is a really cool photography destination that almost no one knows about. It's about 2 hours south of the Bay Area and we actually had a little gathering there once. We did a decent hike in the rain that included caves, stairs and a little reservoir high in the mountains that make up Pinnacles.

Anyway, let me know if you guys like this. If you do, I'll keep my eyes open for more like it.

    Great Article John.
I really hope one day in the future we will see a California Condor shot from one of our members here in the N&W forum.

    Thanks for the link.

Great to hear of the success. Although I'm sure the act of confirming the nest and shooting the proof was stressful to the condors.

Sucks about the two found shot by stupid hunters. How sporting it must have been to shoot a 10' highly endangered target

Thanks John. Hope they found the ahole-shooters. I never realized they were that few in 1967.

Hey ya'll... I posted a pic of a Condor I took in Zion National Park in a new forum or check my gallery. Huge bird. It was an awesome experience seeing one no matter how brief it was.
