    Colorado Flower Trip Advice

Planning a trip to Colorado 2nd or 3rd week in July. Wanting to shoot wildflowers with mountain backgrounds. Any suggested locations? I know Yankee Boy Basin at Ouray is one recommended location, does anyone have any others? The prime consideration is the wild mountain flowers, and ghost towns and rusted mining equipment would also make a good background. Where should I look for this?

    Re: Colorado Flower Trip Advice

    Hi Paul,
One of my favorite places for wild flowers is Golden Gate State Park.
It's close to the city if your staying in a hotel or offers good camping if your doing that.
Many dirt trails parallel the paved roads in the park with good parking spots.

I'm a big fan of mtn meadows flowers with aspen trees in the background which is what this place offers.
