    Cold Brook and Senter Falls

Not sure why the falls are Senter and the brook is Cold, but there it is. I've shot in this location before, but never managed to get a good photo of the lowest part of the falls. The other day I went out at dawn and found a good composition just as the sun started to sneak in through the trees -

Then I followed the light up the brook and found it playing in the falls -

Normally I've gone to this area with overcast or very cloudy skies, but I'm glad I finally went when the sun was out. Here's a shot from last year of the whole of the upper falls so you can get some perspective -

Re: Cold Brook and Senter Falls

Nice images, thanks for sharing. Waterfalls are one of my favourite things to photograph and I will get to some of them when things thaw around my part of the Great White North. I am off to Victoria Falls and vicinity in a couple of weeks, so hope to have a few of those to post when I return - new country - new experience - don't know what to expect, but I am looking forward to it.

    Cheers,

That close-up with the dappling sun on the falls is gorgeous.
