This is a New Zealand native cockroach who decided to come inside out of the stormy cold winter weather. This handsome chap is about 35mm long (body) but unlike your domestic type roach not a household problem as they rarely come inside, preferring leaf litter and garden detritus to live in. Roachy here spent about three days on the one spot only moving his antennae now an then. As he was such a good sport about being an unpaid model I let him stay there until it warmed up a bit, then I picked him up and put him back outside in the garden.

Great photo, but for me Cockroaches are very disgusting.
