Saturday afternoon I had a little free time, and an itchy shutter-button finger. I was wandering around the yard looking for something (anything) to photograph when I noticed a lot of insect activity in the clover patches scattered around the yard.
"Let's try some macro, been awhile."
I tried picking the insects I wanted to shoot and chasing them around from clover patch to clover patch. Going after the insects wasn't working worth a flip. Why not pick a spot and wait for the bugs to come to me?
I chose an active looking patch, picked a good flower, pre-focused, pre-exposed, sat back as far away as the cord on the remote shutter release would allow, and waited to see what (if anything) would stop by.
It worked pretty good.
Hope y'all enjoy.
