Great investments. CS2 should come before upgrading to any professional-grade lens IMO.

Oh, yes and no - when you finally get everything you need, the manufacturer comes out with another new camera body or line

Thanks Paul and Loupey, I processed the second image first... I have a lot to learn using CS2. Thanks to mjs1973 recommending "The Photoshop CS2 Book For Digital Photographers," by Scott Kelby, it's a great book with many step by step how~to's.

Welcome to the forum TAMS. I'll tell you the different types of photography if you tell me where in the world Pune is? Only kidding...

If you are very new to photography I would suggest that you buy a book called "The Ultimate Field Guide To Photography," by National Geographic. It covers everything from film cameras, camera phones, DSLR cameras, point & shoot cameras (which are basically any non-DSLR digital camera, DSLR stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex), and things such as processing images and archiving them on your computer. The book is a great place to get started.

As for the different types of photography, there are many... Nature & Wildlife (my favorite ), Abstract, Still Life, Black & White, Macro, Portraits & People, Sport, and the list goes on I hope that helps a little.

If you have more questions there is a HELP FILES forum near the top of the main forums page. There are a lot of great experienced photographers here who are usually happy to help. Oh... and pay extra attention to Paulnj & Loupey (the mods for this forum), they're pretty smart and helpful guys.

Both a great photos but I like the first one better. It seems more dramatic and the little part of the flower hanging down on the far left (stamen? pistil?...can't remember the flower tech terms) in contrast to the two petals sticking up like ears is neat.

I think you have as much chance at running out of new photography items to buy as you do of your wife running out of new jewelry items for you to buy her.

:lol: :lol: :lol: I traded in my ex-wife for a newer model... sometimes photography equipment can be more expensive than jewelry... I'm going to need a second job
