    Cave Critters

Yesterday i went on a caving trip to Bowden cave, in Bowden WV. I debated bringing my d200 ( i was there last year with a PS) but finally decided to, and it got pretty muddy, but thats why i got the d200 and not the d80. But anyways heres the 2 types of creatures we saw IN the cave. I assume the bats a little brown bats, and the cricket to be a cave cricket (although im nto sure what the difference between a regular cricket is)

Bats were pretty commmon, but i didn't want to disturb them with my flash (if they wake up they die) so i limited pics of them. Some even had frost covering their entire body where there was fur, i should have tried to get a shot of it but didn't.

Cropped for interest effect, and cause it was so small in the full frame pic.

This one has a decent crop, cause the full frame cut off his antenna.

Heres my other two bat images, both have crops ( i didn't have my macro lense, and again i didn't want to bother them much at all. ) i also only had on camera flash, so the shadow is pretty bad in the one, but its the only one i have of one actually hanging form the ceiling, not clinging to a wall
