    Cardinals

Quite a bunch foraging at my feeder.

Great shots! Inspires me to spend more time on the deck watching the feeders.

Thanks for the complements. Seems like I have a lot of Cardinals around this spring. I've been watching several males today hanging around the feeder. I think I'll try to get closer tomorrow. They are skittish so I'll have to play dead.

    Re: Cardinals

    Hi Jim.
Suddenly, Monty Python came to mind, where you talking about Cardinals when you said they were skittish, birds, or the Vatican variety

I had this image of guys in their robes and finery, standing around a clutch of food dispensing machines in a dusty, column walled stone corridor. Muttering Pope-ish things, but as you got closer, so they stopped talking, looked up, like meercats with hats on, then suddenly dived off in different directions clutching half eaten Mars Bars and Snickers.

Eric Idle seems to have played an interesting part in my younger, less informed years.

Theres a challenge then - get that shot you've imagined !
I'd live to see that one, next to a bunch of cardinals flying away from the bird feeder...
