Caracara snacking on a Gator egg....

Spotted this Caracara at the Wetlands this weekend moments after he snatched a gator egg. He flew across the lake and landed on he Berm road ahead of me. Amazing he didn't break the egg during the heist!!!

I find them mostly in the South Central part of the state. Heavy populations from Lake Kissimmee South to Lake Okeechobee

I have seen them in the same areas as Bob, but i have found a group at our Wetlands in Brevard County as well. I have seen them in Orange county near the town of Christmas too.
