    California Condors

    My wife and I observed 12 California Condors in Zion National Park in September. Since there are to the best of our knowledge only about 130 of these birds in the wild we saw a goodly precentage of the total that day. Here are three pictures of them. As you can see, they are all numbered. They also have radio transmitters.

    That's impressive! I wish they'ed been around Zion in August. All the wildlife I saw bloomed.

    These are some pretty good shots there Photo Dad!!!

    I found about 12 at the grand canyon(AZ side) a few years ago. Don't quote me, but last I checked we had about 150 +, but only half that at best flying free.

    BTW... A few were reintroduced at BIG SUR recently ;)
