Butterfly

This guy made a visit to my butterfly bush this morning, but I did not get a great picture
I have not yet played with all the different settings on this camera. I normally just leave it on auto, but I guess since I have decided to take this much more seriously, I am going to have to learn all the settings.

I still want to share tho just because I thought this was a beautiful butterfly. Some type of swallowtail?

Very nice, Amber and it is a beauty. I've seen a few different kinds of dark butterflies where i live and i'm not sure yet what species they are. I know female tiger swallowtails have a black form, maybe thats what this one is?

Hmm.. could be. She had orange coloration underneath. I'll have to look it up. Shes been back several times. Its the first *real* butterfly I have seen on my bush! I always get these little white ones that are probably just moths lol
