    BT Journal

Does anyone here read the BT Journal? I just heard about it today, and downloaded and old issue to see what it's all about. The BT Journal is a 28 page magazine that Moose Peterson puts out four times per year. If you're not familiar with Moose Peterson, he is a well known, and respected wildlife and nature photographer. He uses his photography to help educate others about the importantce of wildlife conservation and also teaches photography. The BT Journal is is another tool he uses to help teach people about nature, conservation and photography.

The B in the title stands for Biologcal. This part of the Journal talks about nature, and the biological aspects of his subjects.

The T stands for Technical. This part of the Journal talks about the technical aspects of nature photography. Moose is a Nikon guy, so all of his technical stuff is based on Nikon equipment, but the ideas he teaches will work for any brand of gear. Just don't expect him to tell you how to adjust your Canon flash.

I found the issue I read today to be very informative, and worth the time. The one I read is from 2002 so it was king of funny reading about his lightning fast 512mb 24x memory cards.

If you're interested in nature photography, and I assume you are since you're in the Nature & Wildlife Forum, I would recomend checking out the BT Journal, and Mooses website. You can request a free copy of the Journal if your interested, or download a PDF version like I did from his website.

    BUMP

Recently I started following Moose Petersons Blog and once again my interest for the BT Journal was peaked. This time I finally broke down and subscribed to it. I got my first issue in the mail yesterday, and I must say, I am not disappointed. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through at and there is tons of great info to be had, not to mention some great photos.

If anyone is looking for a good wildlife photography magazine or blog, you should check out Moose Peterson. Lots of great stuff there.
