On Saturday I was down by the creek in back of my house and turned out to be a good day for birds. There were at least 5 or 6 bluebirds flying back and forth thru the trees. I couldn't believe it when one male landed on the branch of a small tree right in front of me so I started clicking away......
These are all with my 70-300mm lens and 1.4x TC:
There was also a flock of these birds, don't remember seeing them in this area before. I've identified them as adult or immature Yellow-rumped (Myrtle) warblers in winter plumage.
This is the best shot I got of one, they also have a yellow patch on the rump and head:
