Eric, great images, thanks for posting. It is a very interesting coincidence that I was out east of town a couple of weeks ago and spotted a couple of these (could have been their twins - :thumbsup, the first I have ever seen in my part of the world - they hadn't nested yet, but they were wandering around in a slough looking like they might be in the mood - so to speak. I will have to go back and see if they are still there and if they are going to nest - if they do, then it might be worth fighting off the mosquitos (there were plenty) to follow them through the summer. Thanks for this, it has given me something to do next week (among all the other things I have to do... ) and maybe the weeks after...
