    All ears?

I took these this morning on the same golf course I took the Whistling duck pictures yesterday. I guess some people actually play golf there.

Those ears are definitely longer than the the bunnies's we have around here.

Beautiful lighting. #1 is probably my favourite, but all are nice.

Waste of a good path, huh.

    Re: All ears?

Yes they are jackrabbits. They are actually hares and not rabbits. I'm pretty sure that these are Black-tailed Jackrabbits. They are bigger, faster and have much longer ears than cottontail rabbits. I couldn't get as close to them as I would've liked so I had to crop the pics quite a bit. I'm going to try to get closer next time. I also want to get some shots with the sun behind them which makes their ears more translucent and allows you to see all the veins in their ears.

The ones with antllers are Jackalopes. We don't get many of those around here but as you can tell by the pic below, I was lucky enough to come across one this morning. Next I'm going to try to photograph a Chupacabra.

That's not a jackalope - it has antlers (jackadeer???). - TF

Beautiful shots, the first and third are my favourites. Huge ears on those things.

    Re: All ears?

LOL, my uncle was driving across the west once and saw a "jackalope" head mounted on the wall of a gas station. The station owner told him they're all over the sides of the road. He spent the entire trip looking for them

The third picture in that first post is my favorite

I like the expression on the first picture in the original post. Looks like he might have gotten a hold of some bad grass, LOL Jeff
