    Birth defect?

Hi everybody. Sorry I have been absent for a while. I've been on the job hunt and preparing an appeal case.
Anyway... I saw this young guy Sunday morning at the terminal and was wondering if anyone had seen something like this before. Normally, all the deer I see have fairly symetrical ears and antlers. This guy does not obviously. Have you ever seen something like this?

I don't think the ear is non-symetrical but he is just holding it back for some deer reason.
Antlers are never the same on both sides.
What I wondered about in that first shot was why he had a tail growing out of his neck.

Looks like he is listening to you with one ear, while also listening to something off to the left (his right). If you watch horses, you'll notice that they constantly angle their ears in varying directions like this.
