    A Big Cat

Anyone know what this might be? Saw it in a park near Houston Texas. Probably 18" at the shoulder. I looked on the Texas Parks and Wildlife site for some clues, but no luck. May be an imported animal.

I am curious what kind of cat we saw. We were watching the hawks nest when the cat came down the trail. The cat was not startled, afraid or aggressive. I wonder if it is someones exotic pet.

    Thanks,

I'm with mjs, looks like a bobcat.

A little on the lean side, maybe it just had young?

that is a released pet bobcat mostlikely. Houston had so many jungle cats back in the 80's when I lived there, can't imagine it has changed too much.
