Beetle Macro shot

Bugs are interesting to me. Up close some of them look pretty scary.

I found this guy in the back yard yesterday.

very nice job.... not an easy image at all to capture due to movement and extremely shallow DOF!

Thanks! You are correct in that this was a difficult shot. He was on the move and with a 25mm extension tube on my 100mm macro, the DOF is extremely shallow. I shot this at 6.3 to open that up a little bit without sacrificing too much shutter speed.
