I didn't know that roadrunners killed and ate other birds. I thought they just ate bugs, lizards, snails and sometimes snakes. I guess I was wrong. You can tell that the little bird is struggling in the first two images but by the third and fourth image it has died.

I didn't get to see the roadrunner actually eat the bird, but I found pics on another site that showed a roadrunner swallowing a small bird whole. That is most likely what happened to this bird.
