    Beautiful Sunday afternoon.

I found my new favourite place to shoot birs at. In the matter of 10 minutes I saw a flicker, a RT hawk, geese, mallards, RWBB's, Tree swifts (maybe swallows), mergansers and a pair of cormorants.

Here's my selection of the best shots during that short time frame. (I think I got whiplash and carpal tunnel from the swinging around and twisting the focus)

just a few more from the day

I have never seen a starling do a display like this before. It was only for a few seconds so I didn't have any time to adjust the settings but you can see what I mean by the feathers on his chest. I am thinking that it is some kind of mating ritual as there were about 5 females around at the tiem of this display.

That starling is definitely "pounding his chest" for the ladies

I really like the tree swallow shot.

Glad you found an area to shoot in. My backyard is about it for me, though there is plenty of wildlife that come by to visit.
