I made a trip to the ocean beaches this weekend. It's about a 2 hour drive for me (though the Puget Sound is right down the street. I was looking for Black-legged Kittiwake and Snowy Plover. I struck out on the Kittiwake, but I did find a group of plovers. I also got a nice bunch of rockpipers (Surfbird, Rock Sandpiper, Black Turnstone). Here's my two best shots.
Snowy Plover, 300mm, ISO200, 1/1600, f7.1
Surfbird, 300mm, ISO400, 1/3200, f6.3
And though the quality isn't great, I also got a shot of all three rockpipers together.
300mm, ISO400, 1/3200, f6.3
