It was more of a challenge trying to get him to look toward the camera... :rolleyes: :p
But really, it's not that bad actually, if you have a lens that can focus close enough. the hard part is trying to hold the camera steady with one hand, and the subject with the other.

She/He was very docile. It never even opened its mouth, much less trying to bite. I have heard that these snakes are rather temperamental, but I would never have known it from this one.
As to the sex, I do not believe the species is sexually dimorphic, and both sexes are heavy bodied. It was not lethargic like a gravid female, and I doubt a gravid female would have climbed into a tree. I usually just go with he/him as a descriptor because it fits snakes so well, but without sexing it I don't really know for sure what sex it was.
