Most of you on this forum probably have never heard of her, but Jean Keene is famous among many photographers for the Bald Eagles she helped to survive the winters in Homer Alaska. For 30 years, Jean fed the Bald Eagles every day from December through April....Sometimes over 200 Bald Eagles a day! She passed away on Tuesday afternoon. I never got to Homer to meet Jean, but it was one of the trips I wanted to make, as Homer is considered the Bald Eagle Capital of the World (mostly thanks to Jean!). I captured these this morning, and while these are not the fantastic images that come from the many photographers that make the trip to Homer, Alaska.....They are my way of paying homage to a great person.
