    Backyard buddy

I mostly do landscape photography, landscapes typically have enough patience top wait for me to figure the best angle and camera settings.
I managed to get a few animal shots nevertheless. This image is not so great as far as quality goes, but I do like it. I was doing some backyard work; the raccoon was observing me....

What time of day was this ?

A Raccoon out during the day is most likley rabid, so be careful

We have had 9 rabid raccoons and 3 opossum shot by police here in the last month

He/she looks worried, sad, and frightened all at once. Gotta love those bandit markings.

It was during the day, so can not vouch for his health. Guess next time I will know...

Baby raccoon. This photo was taken around 3 am. We had a raccoon family living somewhere close, with three or four babies. They played on our backyard at night.

raccoons out during the day could just be spooked from it's home or homeless. I see them sleeping in trees a few times a year and walking around after storms looking for food.

    Very nice shot!
