So it seems like i haven't been out shooting much this spring/summer, mostly cause my camera was broken for a while. But i have been posting even less! so since i just got my body back from the shop i figured i'd post a few, so here's a few from a wasps nest that was on our garage for a while.

heres a few of an insect i found while out on a hike. it wasn't moving at all, so it was an easy subject.

and lastly for tonight. A bird that i think needs no introduction. found in my backyard, about 75 feet from my house.







and then 2 flying shots that i think are pretty cool looking considering the wing patterns.

I get those little wasp nests in my shed every year. I leave them alone, they leave me alone.
Wonder what that bug is?

thanks DJ, i was a bit cautious taking those photos. however those types have a pretty good temperament, and i was just careful not to approach to quick or stay to long (also there was only that one and not a whole nest full). when i approached she would move to stand like she is in most of the photos, and just watch me.


thanks frog, we get nests liek this fairly often to, the difference was this one was perfect height to take photos of. i went back a week later and some kind of bug (forget what- maybe a spider) had killed the queen, so we cut the nest down then. those crops are by far the best photos ive taken in a while.... and still not very spetactualr.
