    Baby Robins

I had seen this nest during my previous visit to Magee Marsh so I sought it out during this past visit. Surprisingly well camouflaged at a fork in a trunk about 15"~18" feet away from the boardwalk. Even at eye-level, most people walked right passed it without even knowing it was there.

Anyway, another photographer had beaten me to the spot. But because he was in a wheelchair, I was able to shoot over his head (there was only one line-of-sight that wasn't obstructed). He was shooting with a 300mm f/4L and 500mm f/4L while I had my 500mm virtually on top of his head.

I was extremely fortunate that the sun poked through the heavy cloud cover (and that it was able to make it through the trees) at just the right time. The sun came out only a few times that entire day.

    These are in chronological order.
