    baby marmoset

A few shots one of this years baby marmosets. These are proving to be the boldest by far and often rush up and grab the food from my hands as I am putting it out for them. I can see I'm going to have problems with them !

I think he's trying to tell you to turn the camera to portrait. :-) TF

Mahopac, yes mate they are wild. A few showed up one day in the garden and have been hanging around for a couple of years now. They are reasonably accustomed to me because I put food out for them but are wary of strangers. I think they are an offshoot from another group that live in a patch of jungle about 3km away and just decided to take off across the sugar cane fields in search of the promised land. They have had several litters (??) since arriving and now about half of them have actually been born here and have never been to the proper jungle. I should mention that my garden is one of about 40, so combined we have around 60 acres of fruit trees etc so when they rocked up here I think they must have thought they really had found paradise. I wonder if they worship me as a god ???
