    B.I.F. (Birds in flight) Challenge

Ok, lets see everyone's best spring BIF's so far (hey, thats funny sounding...) I've just really started knuckling down and im trying out the challenging world of birding (in flight). I'd like to see others recent shots from this year if anyone wants to contribute them to this thread. Lets call it a challenge! I'll put a vote option on the thread and the winner can start a new thread challenge of thier own liking. Hows that sound? One shot per person is the rule, if that is in everyone's best interest. Any bird in flight will do, it would be nice to see as many different kinds as possible.

    Carl

Oops! Forgot to mention to please name the species, mine is a Swift First i've seen at my local birdin' pond, and they are nesting. Lots of fun trying to get them in flight, they are... Swift indeed!

This one is a little dark, but I'm still trying!!! If you look closely you can see a bobber and fishing line hanging off from him.

Here's a few from February this year (Feb 21 2007 to be exact)

And lastly .. this is one I don't think I posted from my balloon ride in Florida. It's the tail end view but it's a view rarely seen.

Whenever there is a challenge, I like to try and post new images... I haven't had too much free time lately so here is one from earlier this year. It's my in-flight that I am most proud of (hasn't been cropped).

Nice shot CK. I never get a chance to shoot ducks in flight because when I se them I am in teh woods along a river bank.. and the trees always ruin my shot.

    1) BIF, for me, stands for Bugs in Flight, and
    2) you know my interpretation of everything is slightly skewed

So I shot this guy on the hunt this afternoon with this thread in mind
