An assortment of birds from this weekend

An assortment of images from Corkscrew swamp and Ding Darling NWR. Enjoy:

Snowy Egret (juvi - anyone know how you can tell?)

    Roseate Spoonbill

American White Pelican coming in for a landing:

    Ibis with reflection:

Male Painted Bunting (these are always a tough shot - very skittish, and never in good light):

Excellent as always, Bob. I was especially impressed with the Bunting. The detail in your photos is outstanding.
By the way, do you shoot in RAW?

    I'll bite.

They don't exist in my area, so courtesy of Peterson Field Guide to Birds, the yellow on rear side of legs tell us that's a juvenile.

Nice images and I think it's a juvenile female snowy egret due to the hairless legs

Gotta love that awesome painted bunting image!

Wow Bob, exceptional high-quality work as always!

Love the ibis and painted bunting ones. Really, really, nice and very detail-rich.

Thanks for the comments all. It was a fun weekend. Our birding season is about to shift into high-gear here....so I imagine I'll be picking up the pace somewhat.

Alex - thanks for the comments on my site! I really need to get the past six months worth of images up there. I'm so far behind on some of that stuff that it's sad. I really didn't take a break over the summer like we usually do here. Definitely not going to slow down now and catch up! It's prime season here!
