Ashes to Ashes, Rust to Rust

Sorry folks, no nature images this weekend. But I did manage this one yesterday that is close.

Expected more fallen leaves on it instead of around it. I expect I'll shoot it once the snows come.

Any idea on the make and model of this old gem!? It looks like something from the 50's.

good picture. i went a hike a few weeks ago and came across some rusty old, beaten up car just on the side of the path. very random, looks like that truck was too.

    Thanks for looking, everyone.

I'm not much of a car person. All I can say is that it is old and a pickup. Most likely a Ford?

As for how it got there, I think the trees grew up around it. No possible entry in among the trees as they stand now.

Re: Ashes to Ashes, Rust to Rust

The truck is an american made model produce within 20 years of 1955

The car is a mid 70's chevy CAPRICE.

Re: Ashes to Ashes, Rust to Rust

Come on, the truck has disc brakes on the front.
That makes it fairly modern doesn't it ?

4WD too, judging by the diff on the front axle.
Looks like a separate damper, not a coil-over setup.
By the bright muffler, and the grey on the chassis and parts of the rails under the door it's not been there long.
But everything behind the font diff has been stripped, hard to identify.

Very cool Loupey. Maybe someone loves it and comes to brush it off every now and then. It would look very cool with snow on it.
    ~And this is a good day~

~Yes please,..ask me if you can edit my photos. The need help.

I do see what looks like an automatic trans and 5 hug pattern + 4x4 hubs... I think it's an early ford ranger type truck

I was playing about the ID on it previously, but FORD is my guess.

I see pink fuzzy dice in the upside-down one; and a pine tree air freshner is in the first one.

Yarrow - thanks for looking. I'll be back
