    Beautiful series. I really like the composition of #7

    I had no idea the beetle kill had made it into the NP, that sucks. The whole Western slope is one lightning strike away from one of the largest forest fires this country has ever seen.

    I'd say in the eastern side there was 30-50% dead trees. The western side looked more like 80-100%. From what I heard, they've started selectively treating trees to try and save them. Glacier Basin campground has lost most of its trees. Timber Ridge campground on the west side has no trees left in or around the campground. It looked like an RV park, very depressing.

    The park also was taking down dead trees. I can't imagine the build of of tinder in unmanaged areas.
