These little weavers make such awesomely handsome webs. But they do so just before the sun sets so it's difficult to get backgrounds that aren't so monotonous.

Very nice, did you by any chance try any flash images too?

Yarrow - thanks for looking! Webs are tough in that they "light up" for only a brief period of the day. Then you've got to find one with a workable background. Keep looking, I'm sure you'll find one at the right time in the right light.

Paul - actually I did. Also one in flight (just joking of course).

All 4 of these images are of the same spider making the same web.

Nice, I like the first 2, but the flash image is nice in it's own right.
