Another snake picture (almost deleted).

I almost sent this picture to the Recycle Bin, because it had a large yellow leaf in the right bottom corner which was pretty lit-up by the sun... it was very distracting. This picture also had a large stem that went across the little piece of wood in-front of the snakes head (also very distracting), I managed to 'save' the picture in my p/s using a cloning tool... I hope I didn't do too bad of a job.

I wish the leafs on the left were not so bright.

I played with it a little in photoshop, using burn to darken the bright leaves...i ended up not liking the result, i liked it best when i just cropped them away. Good luck with it!!

now here's the caveat - i really suck at PP, and i try to do as little as possible. These photos were almost too small to gain much from my meddling, but here's what i did:

first, i adjusted the middle end in "curves" to bring out the details, which were too dark for my eyes and monitor. now in "preview post" it looks like i blew the highlights a little, but at this size i think a little more light is good. In a larger image i might back off a little.

next, i used "burn" to reduce the exposure of the offending leaves.

finally, i used a little unsharp mask to compensate for jpg compression.
