    Another round of BB images

Here are a few from yesterday afternoon, and this morning. All of the horizontal images were shot at 1/1000 @ f/8, the vertical image was shot at 1/800 @ f/8. I used a bit of fill flash to help light up the underside of the bird.

    Amazing images!

I think it would be even better without those trees in the background though.

    Thanks AE.

The horizontal images with the box on the left were rotated to make the box plumb. I liked the look at first, but now all of the BG trees are leaning to the left. Does anyone find this distracting?

Great work! Busy little birds they are.

Yeah, I noticed the tilted background right away. You might want to turn down the flash output power - they seem a little overpowering in a couple of these shots.

    Keep at it!

Thanks Loupey. I did play around with the flash a little bit, but the timing was off on those images. I did shoot a roll of film with this set as well with the flash turned down a bit, but it will be a while before I see those results.

Just an update. I took a walk to the BB house yesterday to check things out. The chicks have fledged, and the nest is empty. I'm hoping they stick around for a 2nd brood.
