What a coincidence, I was watching a kestrel very similar to this one just last night. It was siting on the top of a small dead tree, right in front of me, in the middle of a grass area and waiting for the small birds to fly out of the trees behind me. As they did it swooped down straight at me and tried to catch the small birds about two meters above my head. At the moment my camera is broken and being repaired and it seems like all the birds are taunting me due to my lack of equipment. I must have seen five species that I have never seen before in the last week including a common potoo that I was able to walk right up to this morning.
