    American Bittern that had no fear

    This American Bittern was in the Viera Wetlands. To my amazement, he showed no fear at all, and in fact you could actually walk within 10' of him.

    Do I notice some scratches across the neck in the bottom shot?

    It might be a floating cobweb. Your images are so sharp.
    Looks like some of those cape feathers would make good fishing flies, too.

    Yes, It's a spider web. I did not see that.........

    Did you use fill-flash?

    I like the second one the most.
