This was shot with my Canon G9 on program mode. 1/160 sec @ f/4, ISO 80 with -2/3 EV. The RAW image was double processed to bring out more detail in the foreground and to keep the color in the sky. The moon was taken from a separate photo also taken with the G9 but zoomed in all the way and pieced together in post.

    Re: Almost a full moon

The moon being from another shot sure helps me understand how you could get this at 1/160, f/4, and an iso of 80.
I was staring my eyeballs out at it after looking at the exif.
I like what you did...makes a good image.

    Thanks everyone.

Frog, the moon still held detail in the original image, but it was a little bit too small to hold much interest. The exif data in a lot of my images can be misleading. I will often double or tripple process my RAW files to increase the range of light in my images like I did here. The foreground in this image was not as light in the original shot so I had to open it up to get what I wanted.

Wow! What a gorgeous shot. I love the color - and the composition is perfect.

You sure do make that G9 sing, Mike!
