    Afternoon hike

A few shots from a hike down a trail I wanted to check out.

Got to watch you don't get too close to some of these edges...

Found a relatively snow free spot to stop for a coffee...

A couple of close up shots from along the way...

I saw, squirrels, chickadees, blue jays, magpies and across the river a few deer, and ended up kicking myself for being lazy and going lite with a short lens.

    Re: Afternoon hike

Thanks guys! Just a tip if you can get hold of some, I carry a square of neophrene about 8" square that I cut from an old pair of waders. it provides a nice dry and insulated seat on any handy log or rock and is easy to pack. You can see it in the second shot, I chose the part with the pocket for the extra layer.

Sorry Bob, no other shots from that trip. I expect I'll explore it more though.

Great idea about the swatch of neoprene. I only have a hunter's seat (cammo and waterproof) which is filled with foam beads and too bulky so I never carry it out into the field
