    Afocal on a Budget.

Hi guys. I'm still waiting for my DSLR to arrive, however am having fun with my little cheap shoot and go. I'm happy with the results I have obtained with an old 90X500mm achromatic refactor and universal digi scope. Of course they are nothing next to the professional shots of many in here, however figured my results were worth posting all the same.

The camera that is coming is just a Canon 550D with kit 18-55mm lens ... only thing I could afford. I am thinking of getting a lens up to 300mm for my hiking. Unfortunately I will only be able to afford a zoom lens as the prime focus ones are EXTREMELY out of 'my" price range.

I hope to be able to post some good shots, with a real camera and less processing than I already do. In the mean time ... I'm scrapping the barrel but having fun.

I have tried digiscoping in the past and it is quite difficult. Well done here Dave!
