Advice needed for a Mama Brown Thrasher

I kept hearing a rustling in the bush next to my front porch but until I saw a bird fly out of it today I had no idea what it was. My husband said it was a Brown Thrasher and I looked into the bush and she's got 3 gorgeous eggs! I know nothing about taking pictures of wildlife really but I'd love to give it a try. She's pretty skittish but getting used to us coming in and out of the house and doesn't always fly off now. Any tips for a complete novice? Anything I should definitely do or not do? TIA

Just don't interfere with her life and don't move the nest. I say anything else would be ok, but let nature take its course regardless.

    I Agree!

The perfect setup would be a tripod/camera prefocused and long cable release(or just sit quietly and shoot) The rule I go by is do not keep the parent off the eggs longer than 15 minutes. If that time elapses, walk away and try again later.

I have shot many a nesting bird , but do not stay long enough to stress them too badly. An image is never worth the life of your subject
