    50-200mm + EC 14 first test shots

    Greetings,

Ec 14 arrived today, this is the first test shots.

This little guy would gather seeds under the bird feeder and then dart out three or four feet to eat them, with his back to me, sigh. Just before he returned for more he turn for a split second

Mid afternoon, full overcast, full frame, no crop... If I didn't have the center point right on him, the lens would focus on the dirty window

    Hi Don,
    Is the EC14 a 1.4X teleconverter?
On shot 1 the focus look perfect.
That's some deep snow that little guy has to work in.

    =560mm in 35mm terms...

I'm excited to hear about your experiences with this combo, it's next on my purchase list. The 40-150 is just a bit weak for my tastes - too slow and too short. Go shoot something without the dirty window between so we can see some good sharpness comparisons :-)

Hard to judge the performance of the combo through glass, especially at an angle.

    You'll have to get cold

Thanks for sharing. Hope to see more in the future.

Seems to be holding detail quite well for you.

Not to shappy with that focal length and through glass! Obviously a smart little guy... he's fat for the winter. He probably knows exactly where every bird feeder in town is.
