    3 of a (non) kind

Not the greatest technical execution - but the alignment was perfect for only 1 shot. Can't imagine getting it again.

Paul, what's that black one in the middle? A sub-species?

Hi Loupey, sometimes the technical has to take a back seat to the moment. You got the shot...that's all that really counts!!! And although lacking a little bit in clarity and color, it's still a great capture.

I do believe all of those are domesticated. The white one is obviously, that dark one is a domestic mallard and the close male seems to be non pure due to the lightness in the back

Re: 3 of a (non) kind

    Thanks for the info, Paul.

Tim, Knight, and Ken: I appreciate your comments. I've not really shot birds before. Now, I can begin to see the draw. It's ironic because my father in-law, wife, and kids all love to watch birds. I guess I've been too busy following some bug around the ground.

Thanks for all the other great bird images in this forum for inspiration.
