2007 off to a great start

The results from the first competition of 2007 are in.

    Beginner - color - animal - 1st place
    Beginner - color - animal - 3rd place
    Beginner - color - people - HM
    Beginner - mono - people - 1st place

I submitted 5 images, 4 placed. The total images submitted was approx 300. The people photos are concert shots (celebrities), and the animals are 2 peacock photos which have been posted here before.

Hopefully the "southwest photo safari" will produce more material for the rest of the year. Now, if I could just sell some.

Thanks for the support and guidance folks.

Dude, you gotta show us! Even if we've seen 'em before, I'd love to see what got your awards.

Re: 2007 off to a great start

Ok, here there are. I was a bit surprised considering the number of entries. We are indeed our own worst critics.

Peacock with tail feathers - 1st place
    Peacock portrait - 2nd place
    b&w guitar player - 1st place
color guitar player (same band, different show) - honorable mention

Thanks again for the congrats all.
